Twice as Fancy Ponies were introduced in Year 5. They were printed between 1986 and 1987. The name "Twice as Fancy" refers to the fact that, whereas most ponies have symbols printed only on their rumps, these ponies have symbols printed all over their bodies. A second set of Twice as Fancy Ponies was released in Year 6 with all new ponies. Each Twice as Fancy pony also has a symbol printed on her cheek or nose, much like the Flutter Ponies have. Corresponding baby ponies were available for all of the Twice as Fancy Ponies, but only through a mail-order offer. Each pony came with a ribbon and a comb or brush, and some came with a brochure.
Sweet Tooth

Sweet Tooth is a blue adult earth pony with dark pink hair and lavender eyes. Her symbol is an arrangement of lollipops of different sizes, half lavender and half pink, all with white sticks (view). She has two lollipops on her left cheek, one lavender and one pink (view). Sweet Tooth is in the Quackers Pose. A Baby Sweet Tooth was available through a mail-order offer.

Dancing Butterflies is a yellow adult pegasus pony with yellow hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is an arrangement of butterflies, half of them blue with pink markings and half of them pink with blue markings (view). She has one pink butterfly with blue markings on her nose (view). Dancing Butterflies is in the Locket Pose. A Baby Dancing Butterflies was available through a mail-order offer.
Dancing Butterflies came with a pink sun pick and a ribbon.
Milky Way is a light magenta adult unicorn pony with blue eyes. Her hair is white with a strip of blue. Her symbol is a pattern of glittery silver stars (view), and she has three glittery stars on her right cheek (view). Milky Way was the last unicorn pony to be printed with the traditional glittery symbol and two-colored mane. She was also released in Europe in the same pose but with a white, non-glittery symbol. Milky Way is in the Mimic Pose. A Baby Milky Way was available through a mail-order offer.

Love Melody is a lavender adult earth pony with light pink hair and pink eyes. Her symbol is several twisting white ribbons with pink hearts hanging from them (view), and she has a small ribbon hung with two hearts on her right cheek (view). Love Melody is in the Quackers Pose. A Baby Love Melody was available through a mail-order offer.
Love Melody came with a bright green moon comb and a ribbon.

Sugarberry is a white adult earth pony with red hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is several dark green vines covered in red strawberries, all speckled with light pink dots (view).
