The Rainbow Curl Ponies were printed in Year 8, between 1989 and 1990. Like the original Year 2 Rainbow Ponies and Year 3 Rainbow Ponies, the Rainbow Curl Ponies have soft, pastel-colored bodies and rainbow-colored manes and tails. However, instead of glittery repeated symbols, these ponies have large, three-colored, rainbow-themed symbols which cover most of the sides of their bodies. Their hair is long and very curly, and each pony's hair is striped with a different set of four colors. The Rainbow Curl ponies were the last adult Rainbow Ponies, although a set of Baby Rainbow Ponies was released in Year 9. Each Rainbow Curl Pony came with a star brush and a ribbon.
Raincurl

Raincurl is a white adult earth pony with light pink eyes. Her hair is striped light pink, yellow, lavender, and aqua. Her symbol is a white cloud outlined in pink, and a long rainbow curving from the cloud across her body, striped pink, yellow, white, and blue. There are blue stars and dots around the rainbow. Raincurl is in the Tootsie Pose.
Raincurl came with a lavender star brush and a ribbon.
Ringlet is a pale yellow adult earth pony with lavender eyes. Her hair is striped white, light pink, golden yellow, and aqua. Her symbol is three rows of colored stars and dots beginning near her shoulders and arching up across her wings. There are four rows of feathers on her wings: the first row is pink, the second yellow, the third aqua, and the fourth lavender. The three rows of stars on her shoulder are pink, aqua, and lavender, respectively. Ringlet is in the Surprise Pose.

Stripes is a pink adult earth pony with blue eyes. Her hair is striped dark pink, light yellow, peach, and aqua. Her symbol is a large yellow star with a rainbow shooting out of it across her body, striped yellow, pink, aqua, and lavender. There are yellow hearts and dots around the rainbow. Stripes is in the Posey Pose.

Streaky

Streaky is a pale lavender adult unicorn pony with pale yellow-green eyes. Her hair is striped light pink, light yellow, lavender, and dark pink. Her symbol is a large blue treble clef with a rainbow stretching from it across her body, striped pink, yellow, pale lavender, and blue. There are blue musical notes and pink stars and dots on and around the rainbow. Streaky is in the Buttons Pose.
