The second set of Rainbow Ponies, printed in Year 3, was the largest My Little Pony set to date, featuring ten different ponies to collect. It included some new ponies and some ponies returning from the first Rainbow set. In later years, several of the Year 3 Rainbow Ponies were released again through mail order offers, with little or no alteration. The new Rainbow Ponies' hair was striped, from front to back, with the following colors: peach, pink, aqua, and neon yellow. The re-released ponies from the Year 2 set retained their original hair colors. All of the Rainbow ponies have glittery symbols, although Pinwheel's symbol also includes non-glittery paint. Each pony came with a brochure, a basic comb, a star brush, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
