Secret Surprise Ponies
Secret Surprise Ponies were quite a bit larger than any other ponies, because they weren't just ponies; they were also jewelry boxes. They were printed in Year 9, between 1990 and 1991. Instead of symbols, these ponies have saddles, which are printed with either hearts or stars. They also have heart- or star-shaped keyholes in their chests. By turning a key in the keyhole, you can unlock and raise the saddle on the pony's back, revealing a hollow area inside of her where jewlery or trinkets can be stored. All four Secret Surprise Ponies were printed in the same pose, the Secret Surprise Pose, which was never used outside of this set. Each pony came with a bow-shaped comb, a key, and a ring or bracelet.

Secret Star is a pink adult earth pony with aqua hair and pink eyes with star-shaped points of light in them. She wears a lavender saddle with mint-green and lavender-blue stars, dots, and short double lines all over it, and mint-green and lavender-blue striped trim around the edges. The lock on her chest is an aqua star.
Secret Star is in the Secret Surprise Pose with the Star Saddle and the Star-Shaped Lock.
Secret Star came with a pink bow comb, a mint-green key, and a pearly white beaded heart bracelet which could be kept inside of her.

Secret Beauty is a blue adult earth pony with lavender hair and pink eyes with heart-shaped points of light in them. She wears a lavender saddle with lavender and dark pink hearts, dots, and squiggly stripes on it, and lavender and dark pink striped trim around the edges. The lock on her chest is a white heart.
Secret Star is in the Secret Surprise Pose with the Heart Saddle and the Heart-Shaped Lock.
Secret Beauty came with a mint-green bow comb, a purple key, and a silver-colored ring inset with a pink jewel, which could be kept inside of her.

Pretty Puff is a white adult earth pony with dark pink hair and lavender eyes with heart-shaped points of light in them. She wears a mint-green saddle with dark pink and lavender hearts, dots, and squiggly stripes on it, and dark pink and lavender striped trim around the edges. The lock on her chest is a dark pink heart.

Pretty Puff came with a peach-colored bow comb, a pink key, and a gold-colored ring inset with a transparent jewel, which could be kept inside of her.

Stardazzle is a purple adult earth pony with light pink hair and blue eyes. She wears a peach-pink saddle with yellow and white stars, dots, and short double lines all over it, and yellow and white striped trim around the edges. The lock on her chest is a yellow star.

Stardazzle came with a purple bow comb, a peach-pink key, and a purple beaded heart bracelet which could be kept inside of her.
