Prom Queen Sweetheart Sister Ponies were printed in Year 8, between 1989 and 1990. They were made very much like the original Sweetheart Sister Ponies of the previous year: they were printed in the same poses, with single-colored hair, eyeshadow, and an earring in one ear. The Prom Queen Sweetheart Sisters were one of two Sweetheart Sister sets printed in Year 8; the other was the Glittery Sweetheart Sister set. Each Prom Queen Sweetheart Sister Pony came with a frilly, colored ruff with silvery lace trim, a bottle of pink perfume, a glittery star pick, and a flower barette.
