In Year 3, the second set of Pegasus Ponies saw the return of Firefly and Medley from the Year 2 set, now with longer hair, and the introduction of two new ponies in a new pegasus pose, the Surprise Pose. The set was printed between 1984 and 1985. As in the Year 2 set, all of the pegasus ponies have glittery symbols, although some of the Year 3 Pegasus Pony symbols also include non-glittery paint. Each pegasus pony came with a brochure, a crescent moon comb, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
Heart Throb

Heart Throb is a pink adult pegasus pony with dark pink hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is four pink hearts with glittery silver wings (view). She is in the Surprise Pose. Heart Throb was also released as a So Soft Pony. A Beddy-Bye-Eye Baby Heart Throb was printed in Year 4, and another Baby Heart Throb was availible in the UK.
Heart Throb came with a brochure, a crescent moon comb, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
Surprise is a white adult pegasus pony with neon yellow hair and purple eyes. Her symbol is five glittery purple balloons (view). She is in the Surprise Pose. Surprise was also released as a So Soft Pony. A Baby Surprise was also availible, as well as a mail-order-only Pearlized Baby Surprise.
Surprise came with a brochure, a pink crescent moon comb, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
Firefly (Long-Haired)

Year 3 Firefly, also known as Long-Haired Firefly, is identical to the original Firefly, only with longer hair. She is a pink adult pegasus pony with blue hair and purple eyes. Her symbol is two glittery blue lightening bolts (view). She is in the Firefly Pose. Firefly was originally released in the first set of Pegasus Ponies in Year 2, with shorter hair. In Year 10 she was released a third time, but in the Surprise Pose, with darker hair and a non-glittery symbol. A Baby Firefly was also availible, as well as a mail-order-only Pearlized baby Firefly.
Firefly came with a brochure, a purple shooting star brush, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
Medley (Long-Haired)

Year 3 Medley, also known as Long-Haired Medley, is identical to the original Medley, only with longer hair. She is a green adult pegasus pony with sea-green hair and blue eyes. Her symbol is five glittery green musical notes (view). She is in the Firefly Pose. Medley was originally released in the first set of Pegasus Ponies in Year 2, with shorter hair.
Medley came with a brochure, a pink shooting star brush, a ribbon, and a scented sticker.
