Merry Go Round ponies were made to look like carousel horses; they have colorful, flowery patterned saddle blankets, and matching tassels on their necks. They were printed in three poses which, like those of the Sundae Best and Princess Pony sets of Year 6, all re-carved from poses released in previous years. The Merry Go Round ponies were printed in Year 7, between 1988 and 1989. Each pony came with a flower brush.
