A second set of Big Brother Ponies was introduced in Year 6 (1987-1988), featuring three new ponies along with three returning from the previous set. The three new Big Brothers, like those in the first set, are all earth ponies, and have solid colored tails, but a strip of a secondary color in their manes. Each pony came with a hat, a bandana, a brush or comb, and a ribbon.
Barnacle is a dark blue adult male earth pony with pink eyes. His hair is orange-red with a light yellow strip. His symbol is a red-orange treasure chest with yellow coins inside, glowing yellow. Three coins are outside the chest. He is in the Quarterback Pose. Barnacle came with a yellow dog brush, a ribbon, a yellow bandana, and a black pirate hat with white trim and a white skull and cross bones.
Chief is a white adult male earth pony with gold eyes. His hair is dark blue with a strip of light yellow. His symbol is a red fire hose with a yellow nozzle, wrapped around a yellow ladder. He is in the Steamer Pose. Chief came with a blue racecar comb, a ribbon, a yellow bandana, and a red fire hat with the letters "FD" in yellow on the front.
Wigwam is an orange adult male earth pony with blue eyes. His hair is white with a strip of blue. His symbol is two teepees (one blue with pink markings, the other pink with blue markings), a blue crescent moon, a pink star, and a squiggly pink line. He is in the Quarterback Pose. Wigwam came with a red racecar comb, a ribbon, a blue bandana, and a yellow headdress with pink markings.
Salty is a dark blue adult earth pony with yellow eyes. His hair is lavender with a dark pink strip. His symbol is a pink and white ship and three white waves. He is in the Tex Pose. Salty was originally released in the first set of Big Brother ponies, in Year 5. He came with a frog brush, a ribbon, a green bandana, and a white sailor hat with "S.S. Pony" printed on it in green.
Tex is a yellow adult male earth pony with dark blue eyes. His hair is dark pink with a dark blue strip. His symbol is two mint-green saguaro cacti and two pink bushes. He is in the Tex Pose. Tex was originally released in the first set of Big Brother ponies, in Year 5. Tex came with a pale blue grasshopper comb, a ribbon, a dark blue bandana, and a mint green hat printed with a pink sheriff symbol reading "P."
Steamer is a purplish-pink adult male earth pony with yellow eyes. His hair is light pink with a dark green strip. His symbol is a yellow and blue train. He is in the Steamer Pose. Steamer was originally released in the first set of Big Brother ponies, in Year 5. Steamer came with a brush or comb, a ribbon, a yellow bandana, and a purple hat with the words "Pony R.R." printed on it in yellow.
