The Twice as Fancy Baby Ponies, released in Year 8, were modeled after the original Year 5 Twice as Fancy Ponies -- a set of adult ponies with symbols printed all over their bodies, who were sold in stores. Each Twice as Fancy baby corresponds to one of the six adults, sharing the same body, hair, and eye colors, and the same symbols. However, there are two baby unicorns, two pegasi, and two earth ponies, and of the six babies, only three are of the same type as their mothers.
The Twice as Fancy Babies were available only as mail-order offers. Each baby came with a ribbon.
